PBM Photography Bridal Portfolio Video

Happy 2010!!

Good morning and Happy New Year!!
It has been a LONG time since I have posted,
(July 2009 to be exact) which is waaay too long.
The beginning of a new year and decade will bring
some changes that I will elaborate on in a few days,
but here are a few to start.
First, obviously the blog has a new fresh look.

Secondly, as I have announced a few weeks ago,
I will be offering studio sessions this year,
likely around February.
The studio is located at 4418 Verot School Rd.
in Red Barn Photography Studio.
Sessions are done by appointment only,
so call/email to schedule yours today
and let me shoot you!! (With a camera, of course)
This will allow me to offer other types
of photography and expand my portfolio,
although weddings will remain my primary focus.

Thirdly, I have signed up with Twitter and
will be "tweeting", so if you would like to follow me
there, my address is: twitter@PBMphotography
My blog is now linked directly to my
PBM Photography Facebook page and Twitter.

I will updating this blog on a regular basis,
so if you're reading this from facebook,
I would suggest you subscribe to the blog
to receive notifications of updates, specials,
and sneak peeks.

To close this post, I want to thank all
of the fantastic couples I have had the privilege
of working with this past year.
I hope I have provided you with as many wonderful
memories as you have given me.
I am very lucky to do what I do for a living
and I thank you all for that opportunity.

Introducing..Brett

Happy rainy Tuesday morning!!
For today's post, I would like
to introduce Brett.
Brett had inquired about me
photographing her wedding the
night I was attending
Callie & Bret's rehearsal.
Emails are sent to my cell phone
and she was VERY surprised to hear
back from me so soon haha.
She is a friend of one of my
all time favorite brides
and one that has been seen
several times on this blog
and my website; Kristin.
Ironically, the day she inquired,
I had visited with Kristin that afternoon
while she was in town.
Well yesterday, she came over
with her future
mother in law; Kelly.
We visited for almost 2 hours and
I loved every minute of it.
Her fiance Trey could not make it,
but I am looking forward to meeting
him as well.
I'm told he LOVES to take photos :-)
The wedding date is set for May 22, 2010.
Just seeing her get as excited
as she was, I can see she will be fun.
Brett, thank you for coming over!
It was nice to finally meet you and
I know we will have a great time
in the coming months.
The 3 photos below were taken just
before she left.
I think her excitement shows in these,
because as soon as she sat in my chair,
she was very comfortable and started
"hamming it up" for the camera.
Thanks for visiting and have a great day!!

Happy Birthday Mom!!

God made a wonderful mother
A mother who doesn't grow old
He made her a smile of sunshine,
And a heart of pure gold,
In her cheeks he placed fair roses,
In her eyes, stars that shine
God made a wonderful mother,
And that wonderful mother is mine
Happy Birthday Mom!!

Today we not only celebrate
Independence Day in my family..
we also celebrate my Mom's birthday.
There could not have been a
more fitting day for her to
come into the world,
because she is a firecracker!!
I love this woman with all of my heart,
and I am so happy and proud
of the relationship Michelle has
with her.
Happy 63 Mom!!
We all love you very much
and hope you have a great day!!

Introducing..Addina & Mikey

Good morning and happy Friday!!
Ok it's Thursday,
but for most, it's Friday
because of the long
4th of July weekend.
Today I would like to introduce
Addina & Mikey and their
adorable 4 year old daughter; Charlize.
I don't want to leave him out,
but they also have a 12 year old son
that did not come along for the ride :-)
Addina and I had chatted on the phone
and I understood she was coming alone
for her consultation.
I was happy when they all came.
I prefer meeting couples, but
sometimes that isn't possible.
I think we hit it off immediately
and they are going to be alot of fun
to work with.
Mikey told me the story of how they met
8 years ago, which is pretty funny!!
They were supposed to be married last year
but Addina got terrible news that her father
was diagnosed with cancer.
Understandably the wedding was postponed.
He's doing fine now (thank God)
and I can tell this young lady loves
her daddy just from her photo requests.
They are getting married March 27, 2010
at Our Savior's Church
with the reception at
The Manor.
Addina & Mikey,
thanks for coming over!!
I really enjoyed meeting and visiting
with you. We are going to have fun!!
I'm very happy to have been chosen
to capture your special day.
For those of you who follow the blog,
you know the routine...
below is a photo I took just before
they left.
Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!!
-Paul

Introducing..Danielle

Happy Wednesday!!
This morning I would like
to introduce Danielle.
She had inquired last week
and we scheduled yesterday to meet.
I cannot reiterate enough to
brides & couples to take the time
to get to know me
(or your chosen photographer)
and I will do the same.
I think Danielle took my advice
and was here for almost 3 hours.
Honestly, I loved it, and
appreciate the fact that she did that.
We talked about everything,
including her wedding,
how she met her fiance; Jim...
They are both from Louisiana;
she is from north Louisiana,
he is from south Louisiana.
They met in Michigan
while on seperate high school field trips!!
They stayed in touch with each other,
have been together for 5 years
and are now getting married!!
How cool is that??
Jim was not able to make it
for this consultation, but
I'm really looking forward to meeting him.
The wedding is October 3rd, 2009 in Breaux Bridge.
Danielle, thank you for coming over.
I enjoyed our visit and
am looking forward to working with you & Jim.
Below are a couple of photos I took
before she left.
Thanks for visiting and have a great day!!
